Jeremiah 48:9-11
International Standard Version
9 “Put salt[a] on Moab[b]
for she will surely fall.
Her towns will become desolate places,[c]
without any inhabitants in them.
10 Cursed is the one who is slack
in doing the Lord’s work.
Cursed is the one who holds back his sword
from shedding[d] blood.
11 Moab has been at ease from his youth.
He has been undisturbed like wine[e] on its dregs
and not poured from vessel to vessel.
He has not gone into exile.
Therefore, his flavor has remained,
and his aroma has not changed.
